Technical Assistance to the Government Office for Cooperation with Civil Society

The project’s overall objective was to contribute to anchoring democratic values and structures, human rights, social inclusion and the rule of law and with the capacity to influence policy and decision making processes, in order to achieve a more dynamic civil society actively participating in public debates on the above mentioned issues.
JCP provided inputs across all technical assistance areas with a particular focus on:
Provision of both local and international STEs – identifying senior and junior experts in the field of good governance, support to financial framework for civil society, assessment of grant proposals, procurement procedures, complying with PRAG, reform of public administration and democracy and human rights.
Transfer of know-how from similar projects – by providing capacities to effectively managing and monitoring grant schemes according to EuropeAid rules and regulations, and enhancing the capacity development of institutional and civil society actors.
Support to the preparation of narrative and financial reports, contract management, M&E and Quality Assurance, backstopping service.
