50 years of landing on the moon: the 2019 Moon Day
Jcp is sharing this celebration together with the whole international community
What to celebrate?
On July 20, 1969, the Apollo 11 space mission brought man to the moon for the first time.
The American astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin set foot at 20:17:40.
Because this has changed the course of history forever! The landing on the moon has changed the course of modern history. A victory for the intelligence and capacity of the man who managed to reach a truly unique goal.
In particular, we want to recall the initiative of RAI (radiotelevisione italiana, the national public broadcasting company), which has organised a series of appointments, live programmes, special editions, historical reinterpretations, from early morning to the second evening, entirely dedicated to the Moon, which will involve all the media outlets of the broadcasting agency.
It will be a special day, to celebrate one of the epochal moments in the history of humanity.
As it is stated into the main website: “The network mainly involved will be Rai 1, “heir” of that First National Channel that on 20 July 1969 showed, after a live broadcast of almost 25 hours, Neil Armstrong treading the lunar surface, with the unmistakable voice of Tito Stagno and his famous ” It has touched! “”.
In addition, also the other Rai networks, all regional offices, and of course the radio, RaiPlay and the social profiles will participate throughout the week, from Monday 15 to Saturday 20 July.
